One week to go!

Checking for problems on the underside. Actually, just having fun testing the suspension flex.

In reading the stories of other overlanders over the years, one thing which always puzzled me was how they always had a last minute scramble to get everything done before their departure date. I mean, if you are going to be gone for a real long time, how big of a deal is it to let the departure date slip a day or a week in order to finish things?

Now that we are one week to departure, we totally understand. You will never leave if you wait until everything is perfect. We still have a long list of things we wish we had time to do, and a short list of things we absolutely have to do. The latter list has become shorter and shorter no so much because the tasks have been completed, but because so many items are being transferred to the "wish we had time to do" list. For instance, we decided although cruise control is really, really nice, we don't need it. Ditto for a sunroof that opens.

Our longest road trip in the past was 16 days, and although there was a scramble before that, it was nothing like what we are experiencing now.
